About The Artist
—
My name is Lois Owens-Sams and I’m a Decorative Painter. What is Decorative Painting
you ask? It is a painting technique that once learned, you can paint almost everything
without having any art background. Once you learn the basics, time and effort will only make you a better painter. I stumbled across this style of painting due to my having four cervical surgeries. I was a wreck and my doctor said I needed a distraction from the constant pain. I answered an ad in the paper for beginner classes. I was hooked. It took my mind off my pain and gave me something to do. That was in 1998. I have been
painting every since and teaching beginners since 2009. It has been my salvation during the illness and death of my husband of 48 years.
You do not have to be an artist to learn this procedure. I have been teaching for 10 years
and never had anyone fail!!
Hope you like my work. Once purchased. I will expertly wrap and ship your item at the cheapest method available. Thank you for looking.

Do you offer art lessons?
Yes. I offer group lessons for anyone who wants a wonderful, fulfilling hobby and is willing to learn something new, as well as people with some past experience who want to learn some new techniques. My prices are more than reasonable because my main objective is to help people and give them a fun place to socialize.
Do You Have Patience with Novices?
Many of my students have told me they could never learn to paint but with understanding and patience I was able to give them something meaningful in their lives and a fun social activity and new friends in the process.
